Mr. Lutz has been involved with the Upper Atmosphere Physics Group for the past 20 years. He has been a key participant in the development of all types of instrumentation, including ground-based, balloon-borne, and spacecraft platforms. The most recent projects have been Imaging Riometer Systems ranging from high-speed, high-resolution systems to extremely low power 16-beam systems for use at unmanned observatories, and developmental work on a Riometer intended for a Mars Lander Mission.
